Again, I’m Haley. My birthday is June 20, 1991 which makes me a Gemini. I believe in astrology, numerology, and stuff like that in general fascinates me to no end. I’m not religious and never really have been although I grew up in the bible belt of America—Memphis, TN, to be exact. I lived there from birth until I graduated high school which is when I moved just outside of Nashville to attend MTSU for college. I’ve been going there 3 years now and I absolutely love the school, the town, the community, everything. I’m majoring in EMC TV/Radio Production with a minor in Film Studies and I’ve also taken some classes in Fashion Merchandising, Business,  Scriptwriting, and other miscellaneous things because I’m interested in so many subjects. It took me 2 years to discover my major and I love it. I have dreams of taking care of myself. I actually have a lot of dreams, including teaching english in Japan, being a princess at Disney World and being on America’s Next Top Model. I have always prided myself in being a genuinely good person and I believe that you should do unto others that which you would have done unto yourself. I enjoy being a good friend and treating people of all kinds with respect. Analyzing things is probably my number one hobby followed by inventing and imagining things. Creating analogies and scenarios in my head is just… well, something I’ve never been able to stop doing. I like to write, I like to talk, I like to listen, I love to learn and spread knowledge whenever possible. I’d like to think of myself as a creative person. I’m constantly trying to better myself and enrich my life. I have been cutting and dying my own hair since I came to college, so about 3 years. Since then, it’s been dark blonde, white bleach blonde, ash brown, auburn, bright red, magenta, and, most recently, golden blonde. It’s become a hobby along with collecting make up. I’m constantly searching for new things to try and new things to collect, new things to get into. Something I’ve been into for a very long time is Japan. I am obsessed with Japanese culture. I love cherry blossoms, I love the little beckoning cat statues, I love Japan street style, I love Spank!, I love Kyary, I love manga, I love traditional Japanese art, I love Japanese food, I love Japanese folklore, I love the language, and I especially love anime. Yu Yu Hakusho, Sailor Moon, Elfen Lied, Chobits, Clannad, Cowboy Bebop, Creamy Mami, Azumanga Daioh, etc etc etc. I could go on forever probably but the point is that I’m a huge fan. And I really like anime conventions (especially the dealer room). Umm, what else do I like? I like rain. No, I love rain. Like, a lot. I get really happy when it starts to rain and it’s like a wave of comfort washes over me and I have absolutely no anxiety. It’s so hard to explain and understand this, but it’s true. I feel like I can just relax, it’s like I’m finally exhaling or something. And the harder it rains, the better. I love thunder storms. A lot. I also love music, of course, like, who doesn’t, right? Some of my favorite bands are Say Anything, New Found Glory, Taking Back Sunday, Circa Survive, Boys Night Out, Glassjaw, and I could keep naming bands but yea. I’d say Pop Punk is my favorite when it comes down to it but I also like bands like Hole and I like listening to oldies like Marilyn Monroe and The Supremes and I even like different types of rap like Drake and Biggie and Tupac and well I guess you could say I’m “eccentric.” I enjoy going through new phases and chapters of my life. My ultimate goal is to keep discovering new versions of myself and share them with as many people as possible while also learning about others. Hopefully, I can get to know you! ^_^
